Manufactured from grade 10.9 high tensile steel and coated in a black oxide finish which acts as a base for self-colouring. These screws have a low type capped head, for when there is little clearance; great for tight spaces in engineering and automotive applications. The low cap head screw has a standard metric coarse threading which has been heat treated and roll formed to ensure thread consistency. The rockwell hardness of these screws are C37-45 making them great for heavy-duty applications.
